As most of you are aware, this the last week of the second quarter and candidates all across the nation are holding fundraisers. The Massa for Congress team is proud to announce that Ambassador Joseph Wilson will be in New York City on Thursday evening supporting Eric Massa. Visit
MassaforCongress.com and go to Upcoming Events (upper right of the homepage) to contact Kellie Jensen (for more info or to RSVP) or to download an invitation.
As many of you saw at YearlyKos, Ambassador Wilson is very personable. He is more famous for being outspoken in his opposition to the Bush administration. Eric is no shrinking violet either, as evidenced by his recent call for denunciation of Ann Coulter's fragging comment about Jack Murtha. (link) This event promises to be fun and fiery.
Eric is also in the second round of Governor Warner's Mapchangers Competition. Please go
here to vote for Eric to help him make it into the Top 10 and compete for the grand prize..
Why support Eric? Because he will stand up to an administration that spoonfed lies to Judith Miller and later called the New York Times reporting of its monitoring of financial transactions through data miners "disgraceful" and claimed that the disclosure "does great harm to the United States of America." He will stand up to Republicans like Rep. Peter King, who called the NYT's decision to run the article "treasonous." Like Ambassador Wilson, Eric will stand up for the 1st Amendment and the public's right to know the truth. And he has great positions on health care, alternative energy and the other important issues. (link)
